Question:
I have a dolphin plant that was blooming when I bought it but stopped blooming since. I have it in a sunny window and do not overwater it.  Can you help please with this?

Answer:
It is not unusual for this plant to bloom only once per year. To encourage more flowering, you must keep it very potbound; provide lots of direct indoor sun or indirect outdoor sun; and keep the soil slightly damp at all times. Pruning the longer stems back by about one-third following the bloom and fertilizing at half strength during the warmer months may also help.
