Question:

I have 30yr old huge aloe. They will get a flower stem, but it dies out before actually blooming. What can I do to make it live and bloom?

Answer:

Aloe flowers are tiny and rather insignificant flowers that appear along a long flower stem, called a spike. They are not particularly attractive and they don’t last long. Most people cut off the entire flower spike when it appears. Lots of direct sunlight and warm temps may help prolong the flowers a bit, but I don’t think it is worth bothering with.
