Question:
I do realize that my sago palm is not a true palm. My concern is what to do with the lower yellowing “fronds”. They started turning yellow around the end of February. The 10 year old plant is very healthy otherwise. Should I leave them or not?

Answer:
It is quite normal for older fronds to yellow and gradually die as new ones are added on top. It is best to cut off the yellowing fronds as they will never recover. However, it does no harm to leave them.
